ITINERARY:
Day 1
Arrival, assistance and reception by our staff at the airport and transfer in regular service to the selected hotel.
Day 2
Breakfast at the selected hotel. In the morning, departure to Los Glaciares National Park (entrance included), declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The glaciers that gave it its name - some 47 in total - show a world of 10,000 years ago: cold and wild. The most famous is the Perito Moreno Glacier, located at the southwestern end of Lake Argentino, 80 km. from El Calafate. The glacier is named after the great Argentine explorer of the 19th century and is one of the few in the world in advance. This has made it one of the greatest natural spectacles in South America. From time to time, its 60 m. high front detaches walls of ice as big as buildings that fall into the waters of the Brazo Rico or the Canal de los Témpanos, and then sail out through the Canal towards the main body of the lake. But that is not all. The glacier, as it advances, approaches the Magallanes Peninsula, on the opposite shore of the lake and point of the sector of footbridges and viewpoints. The cycle takes 4 to 6 years and ends up dividing the lake in two. The Rico arm is dammed and rises approximately 35 m above its level. The waters slowly drill a tunnel in the front of the glacier until the pressure makes it collapse. The spectacle is indescribable. The waters rush down in gigantic waves, and then start the whole process all over again. Return to the hotel. Lodging
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Nativo Experience is a midday excursion in a 4x4 vehicle along the shores of Lake Argentino with an anthropological approach, making a journey through time about the passage of man in these lands, rediscovering stories of the first expeditions and daring men who ventured into the unknown. Among the cliffs and overlooking the Andes Mountains, the excursion focuses on the first contacts of those expeditions with the natives, and then enter the Tehuelche world. On the shores of the lake are the caves where thousands of years ago that culture left its marks on the rock and that today introduce us to its interpretation. There we will finish the tour enjoying a delicious Patagonian meal in an unforgettable location. Return to the hotels. Overnight.
