Excellent combined tour in which you will visit the most important archaeological centers of the Mayan World and enjoy all the ecosystems offered by the region. It offers the incentive of entering Honduran territory to visit one of the most emblematic Mayan cities of the classic era, ending on the beaches of the Mexican Caribbean.


Day 1º|SAT - Guatemala City - Guatemala City - Guatemala Airport

Reception at the airport and transfer to our hotel in Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City.


Day 2|SUND - Guatemala - Chichicastenango - Lake Atitlán

Breakfast. Departure to the Guatemalan highlands to the town of Chichicastenango, where we will visit one of the most famous indigenous markets in Latin America. This day we will have an experiential visit, where we will have a workshop with the local women to learn how to make corn, the staple food of Guatemala. After the visit we will continue to Lake Atitlan, which Huxley said to be the most beautiful lake in the world. Overnight.


Day 3|MON - Lake Atitlán - San Juan La Laguna - Santiago Atitlán - Lake Atitlán 

Breakfast. Today we will take a boat to visit two of the twelve villages that surround this beautiful lake. We will visit the Tzutuhil village of San Juan La Laguna characterized by the harmony in which its inhabitants coexist with nature and culture. We will continue to Santiago Atitlán, a town inhabited by Tzutuhil Indians who live from fishing and handicrafts, although they are better known as worshipers of a Mayan-Catholic deity they call Maximón. Overnight.


Day 4|TUE - Lake Atitlán - Iximché - La Antigua

Breakfast. Departure to the city of La Antigua Guatemala. On the way, we will visit the archaeological site of Iximché, ancient Mayan capital of the Cakchiquel kingdom. Upon arrival in La Antigua, orientation visit of this colonial city declared a World Heritage Site, we will visit the Cathedral, La Merced Church, the Central Plaza and its main streets and monuments. Overnight.


Day 5|WED - La Antigua 

Breakfast. We will have the day free to enjoy La Antigua, strolling through the cobblestone streets, appreciating its architectural styles of yesteryear or resting in the hotel facilities. As an optional activity, during the morning, we recommend an excursion to the Pacaya Volcano. Overnight.


Day 6|THUR - La Antigua - Guatemala - Copán

Breakfast. Departure from La Antigua. During the day, we will cross the Honduran border to visit Copan, which holds pyramid stelae, ball games and burial sites unique in the Mayan World. Overnight.


Day 7|FRI - Copán - Quiriguá - Izabal Area

Breakfast. From Copan we will head to the Guatemalan Caribbean. On the way, we will visit the archaeological center of Quiriguá, which preserves some of the best stelae erected by the Mayas. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the Izabal area, one of the natural wonders of Guatemala. Overnight.


Day 8|SAT - Izabal Area - Río Dulce - Petén

Breakfast. In the morning, we will navigate by boat on the Dulce River, a place of exceptional ecological richness. During the tour, we will approach the tourist site of Cayo Quemado, where together with the community, we will enjoy a gastronomic workshop, preparing a delicious coconut fish ceviche. After the workshop, we will continue our boat ride until we reach the town of Rio Dulce where transportation awaits us to continue our journey to the Petén jungle. Overnight.


Day 9|SUND - Petén - Tikal - Petén 

Breakfast. Today we will visit the Mayan city of Tikal, the jewel of the Classic Mayan World. Lunch inside the archaeological site. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy a stroll around Flores Island, accompanied by a relaxing view of Lake Petén Itzá. Overnight.


Day 10|MON - Petén 

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the hotel facilities. As an optional activity you can take the Yaxhá sunset tour. Overnight.


Day 11|TUESDAY - Petén - El Ceibo - Waterfalls - Palenque

Breakfast. In the morning departure to El Ceibo, border between Guatemala and Mexico. Migratory formalities to enter Mexico. En route, visit of the Roberto Barrios Waterfalls. Continuation to Palenque. Overnight in Palenque.


Day 12|WEDN- Palenque - Campeche

Breakfast. Today we will visit the archaeological center of Palenque, possibly the most suggestive of the Mayan archaeological sites, after the visit, lunch and continuation to Campeche. Upon arrival, we will make a short panoramic visit of the city. Lodging.


Day 13|THU - Campeche - Uxmal -Merida 

Breakfast. Departure from Campeche to visit Uxmal, an important Mayan archaeological site from the classic period. Lunch. In the mid-afternoon, we will arrive in the colonial city of Merida. Upon arrival, we will take a short panoramic tour of the city. Overnight.


Day 14|FRIDAY - Merida - Chichen Itza - Cancun or Mayan Riviera 

We will visit the important city of Chichen Itza and the Ik Kil Cenote. Farewell lunch and continuation to Cancun or Riviera Maya. Lodging not included. End of our services.
