ITINERARY
Day 1 - TUESDAY - Guatemala Airport - La Antigua
Reception at the airport and transfer to our hotel in La Antigua. Delivery of travel documents. Welcome dinner in the hotel room, cheese and fruits. Lodging.
Day 2 - WEDNESDAY - La Antigua
Breakfast. We will have the day free to enjoy La Antigua, strolling through the cobblestone streets, appreciating its architectural styles of yesteryear or resting in the hotel facilities. As an optional activity, during the morning, we recommend a cultural visit to this city declared a World Heritage Site, an excursion to the Pacaya Volcano or an exquisite chocolate workshop. Overnight.
Day 3 - THURSDAY - La Antigua - Chichicastenango - Lake Atitlán
Breakfast. Departure to the Guatemalan highlands to the town of Chichicastenango, where we will visit one of the most famous indigenous markets in Latin America. After the visit we will continue to Lake Atitlan, which Huxley said to be the most beautiful lake in the world. Lodging. Overnight.
Day 4 - FRIDAY - Lake Atitlán - San Juan La Laguna - Santiago Atitlán - Lake Atitlán
Breakfast. Today we will take a boat to visit two of the twelve villages that surround this beautiful lake. We will visit the Tzutuhil village of San Juan La Laguna characterized by the harmony in which its inhabitants coexist with nature and culture. We will continue to Santiago Atitlán, a town inhabited by Tzutuhil Indians who live from fishing and handicrafts, although they are better known as worshipers of a Mayan-Catholic deity they call Maximón. Overnight.
Day 5 - SATURDAY - Lake Atitlán - Monterrico Beaches
Breakfast. Departure towards the Pacific coast, arrival to Monterrico, an exotic beach of volcanic sand with a relaxed and relaxing coastal atmosphere. Lodging.
Day 6 & 7 - SUNDAY & MONDAY - Monterrico Beaches
Breakfast. Days to rest in this magnificent beach that covers more than 300 kilometers and allows a great variety of aquatic activities and contact with nature. We recommend a comforting sunrise visiting the mangroves or delight yourself with the local fauna, visiting the Turtle Reserve of Monterrico. Overnight.
Day 8 - TUESDAY - Beaches of Monterrico - Guatemala Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to Guatemala City airport. End of our services.
