Day 1: Quito
Reception at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Quito – Cotopaxi – Quilotoa – Baños
Early morning departure from designated hotels along the "Pan-American Highway South," enjoying stunning landscapes and diverse ecosystems that showcase the majesty of the Andes.
The journey continues to Cotopaxi National Park, arriving at the base of this impressive active volcano. We will visit the park’s museum, Limpiopungo Lagoon, and, if weather permits, take an interesting hike to the Chuquirahua Forest at 4,200 meters above sea level.
Next, we’ll head to Quilotoa Volcano, featuring a breathtaking turquoise lagoon in its crater, one of Ecuador’s most photographed and beautiful landscapes. A short hike will allow us to appreciate the volcano’s stunning views, weather permitting.
Free time for lunch (not included). Afterward, transfer to Baños and overnight stay.
Day 3: Baños – Quito
After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic tour of Baños. Highlights include observing the traditional preparation of “Melcocha,” a handmade caramel pulled on wooden logs, visiting the colonial-style church that houses the Virgin of Agua Santa, known for her many miracles, and exploring the Huillacuna Museum, featuring unique artifacts tracing the town’s history. You can also see the thermal pools, famous for their medicinal properties.
In the afternoon, after lunch (not included), visit the impressive “Pailón del Diablo” waterfall. On the way back to town, stop at “La Casa del Árbol” viewpoint and take a spectacular photo on the "Swing at the End of the World," with an extraordinary view of the Tungurahua Volcano.
For adventure enthusiasts, after the morning city tour, you’ll have the option to enjoy activities like rafting or canyoning (available at an additional cost, subject to weather and availability).
Return to town and, in the late afternoon, transfer back to Quito.
