Day 1: Sedona
Las Vegas - Sedona We start the day traveling along the Mojave Desert and heading towards the Colorado Plateau and the historic Route 66 to reach Sedona, known as "The Jewel of the Desert" and considered one of the most beautiful places in North America. We will travel through the impressive Oak Creek Canyon that it descends to 2000 feet (610 meters) towards the bottom of the valley. We stopped to take pictures of the red stones and surrounding areas, from the Oak Creek Canyon viewpoints. We will also visit the state park Slide Rock Then we will have a lunch break in Sedona, where you can find authentic indigenous crafts, as well as galleries and boutiques that are only found here. After the break we We will go to the desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross and appreciate the panoramic views of the Sedona rock formations, including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock. At sunset We will leave the Sedona area until we reach Flagstaff, where we will stay.
Day 2: Page
Sedona - Monument Valley - Horseshoe Bend This morning we headed to the Monument Valley, one of the symbolic icons of the American West and one places in the world. In the heart of the Navajo nation you will find this majestic park, which consists of masterpieces of sandstone, with heights of 400 to 1000 feet (up to 300 meters). Around these sandstone towers you will see plateaus, cerrillos, shrubs and trees. Our excursion begins with Jeep vehicles, with guides that are Navajo indigenous. The tour takes us to the valley and we will understand why the Navajos call that as this land "there is no other in the world". We stopped for an outdoor barbecue lunch (included in the price). Then we will leave the park to head towards the great Colorado River. In the afternoon we will visit the “Horseshoe Bend”, another spectacular panorama, unique in this region of the country. At dusk we will arrive at Lake Powell and Page, where we will stay.
Day 3:
Antelope Canyon - Valley of Fire - Las Vegas We start the day where “water runs through the rocks” as described by the Navajo. We cross the upper part of Antelope Canyon and visit the spectacular dunes created by wind, water and sand. Words are not enough to describe those formations created by mother nature. After our excursion we will leave this spectacular area and return to Las Veas. On the way we will stop for lunch and then visit the Valley of Fire, named for the magnificent red sandstone formations, hidden by quicksand and dunes during the age of dinosaurs, more than 150 million years ago. We will arrive at dusk in Las Vegas.
