Chincha Province Peru

The Chincha Province is one of five provinces of the Ica Region of Peru. The capital of the province is the city of Chincha Alta. The city of Chincha is located 188 kilometers south of Lima, at 94 meters above sea level, in the province of Chincha of the Ica Region, in Peru. It has an area of ​​238.34 km² and a population projection of approximately 226,000 inhabitants. It was in 1900 when the archaeologist Max Uhle carried out the investigations of this culture, who highlighted the presence in this valley of the huacas of La Centinela, La Cumbe, Tambo de Mora and Lurinchincha.
